Bangkok : spoonful zakka cafe

i love zakka shop. period. haha. so i am always very excited about going to a zakka cafe where they sell many small little things that girls will normally fancy. Spoonful is another zakka cafe we visited when we were in bangkok. it is located on the second floor in a building/ mall called The Portico.

Their menus are very limited, it is just the kind of cafe for people to order some coffee/teas and read a book,cause the ambiance is fantastic.

we ordered some scones, cause that is what they are famous for. and we love it too. ( But to note: things are rather pricey in there. even the scones and drinks)

Bangkok: Library cafe

The third cafe on the list was the Library cafe, head so much about their signature waffles that we just need to pay them a visit to try it out... :)

the cafe was a little hard to find and easy to miss, cause their signage wasn't very BIG. LOL.

oh well, the boy loves the waffles (he ate most of it ) and i myself find it quite nice too.  if we haven't been eating the whole day, i would like eaten more of the waffles. hahaa. However, i find the matcha latte is a little way too sweet for me, the boy didn't like his iced coffee either. so maybe, just head there for the WAFFLES!! is good enough..... :)

Bangkok : Parden Cafe & zakka

the second cafe we decided to head to is called Parden cafe & zakka, the cafe's owners are real japanese and i really loveee the stuff in there. so glad that we managed to find the place and it definitely worth the effort to travel all the way there. ( we learned our lesson = no more walking!! this time round, we took a cab there...LOL)

we ordered the mango parfait, which are made up of 3 different kind of mango. LOVE IT.

Bangkok - Gastro 1/6 cafe

the first bangkok cafe we decided to head to is called Gastro 1/6. as i was searching for some nice cafe to visit during our stay in bkk, this cafe's reviews keep popping up in the web saying that it is a nice bunch place to go.
we wanted to take a taxi in the first place, but the taxi drivers that we have approached keep quoting us ridiculous prices, so we gave up looking for taxi and took the BTS instead.
it was only 10-15 mins train ride to phrom Phong station, very fast.Based on our experience, we advised that once u reached this station, hire a taxi to where the cafe is located at. Because, we walked damn far from the BTS to the cafe, almost 20-30mins walk!!!!




finally we found the place after much walking, but we both find the cafe worth the effort looking for it under the hot weather. (because i really like their deco and french toast)

the french toast is so amazing!! it is a "must order" if u r paying the cafe a visit.. the fruits are so fresh cause they only cut them when we placed the order. it took quite a while before all the food and drinks are served even though there is no one else in the cafe, so if u are heading there during the weekend, the wait might be quite long if there are a lot of people. we are quite lucky that when we were there during the weekday so there isn't any people in the cafe.

Singapore: Drips Bakery Cafe

Quite awhile ago, the boy brought me to Drips cafe ( Near tiong bahru) to try out their tarts. this is yet another one of the many quirky cafes in Singapore, but THEY SERVED REALLY TASTY TARTS i must say.

This chocolate tart is INSANELY GOOD!! DO try this if u decide to pay them a visit.

OGOPOGO official opening - New cafe in Town!

I was invited to zenn's new cafe opening two weeks back.The cafe is conveniently located at Bussorah street ( near to Arab Street), it is within walking distance from Bugis MRT. i must admit that the place is nicely done up with eclectic furniture, and it is filled with interesting eye candy deco that makes the cafe feels so whimsical and vintage. The clever incorporation of the pipelines as part of their cafe 's interior design, just add on to the quirkiness feel of the whole place!

They have a really wide range of drinks selection to choose from, ranging from specialty coffee and teas, to craft beers and ciders. Personally, i love their fizzes( their own created drinks),refreshing and cooling, it is nice for a hot weather. :)

They do serve cakes and sandwiches if u are looking for something to eat and they also provide people the option to order food from the restaurants ( Italian, Japanese & middle eastern) nearby and allow them to consume within the cafe.
i think this is a pretty cool idea. have u ever faced the situation where u wanted to have japanese food and your friends would like to have western cuisine? now, at this cafe, u can eat TOGETHER with your friends and yet have the option to order different varieties of food to your own liking! And on top of it, the place has got nice ambiance and the deco is cool!
